Raquel joined our team in the summer of 2021. She has loved animals since she was a young child and always dreamed of becoming a zoologist. Originally from San Diego, California, she moved to Houston in 2017. She received her Veterinary Assistant Certification from Pima Medical Institute that same year. She has found her passion for feline medicine and puts her whole heart into every patient she meets, even the spicy ones. She loves the fast-paced environment and variety of tasks performed with working at a full-service hospital like HCAT. Raquel enjoys going out with her friends and husband Kyle, as well as staying at home with her 3 (feline) children: Henny, Westin, and Steve.
