Jessica’s love for cats began at a very early age with her beloved kitty Skeeter, who she bonded with deeply. Jessica spent most of her free time as a teenager volunteering at local shelters where she quickly realized how well cats responded to her in such a stressful environment. After graduation, Jessica found her dream job, where she had an opportunity to work exclusively with felines. Jessica trained closely with board-certified veterinarians and highly skilled technicians for several years, learning everything from wellness care, surgery and anesthesia, geriatric care, common diseases, emergency care and so much more. After working hard and dedicating many years to her training, she was promoted to Lead Technician at a three-doctor, Feline exclusive Veterinary Practice, where she led a successful team for many years.

In 2003, Jessica’s talent and love for cats were recognized by a veterinarian she worked closely with, and was given an opportunity to Co-Found Houston Cat Hospital. Jessica worked hard in every aspect of the birth of Houston Cat Hospital and could not be prouder of its success and growth.

Jessica shares her home with her husband, two children, two giant German Shepherds, Grizzly and Tank, and an array of foster kittens who her children help to raise and nurture back to health and find them forever homes. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys cooking, working out, gardening, and traveling year-round with her family to support her children’s love of competing in Tae Kwon Do at the national level.
